My Gorjuss Valentine

I absolutely love Love LOVE Santoro Gorjuss Girls!!!
I thought this little Gorjuss Girl was perfect for a Valentine.  She is #24 Heartfelt .  I also used Docrafts Artiste watercolor pens and EVERYTHING I colored on this card was colored with them....including the Petaloo Color Me Crazy Flowers , the stamped sentiment, and the edge of the cardstock I layered under the printed cardstock.  Mostly I used the pens with my waterbrush so I was actually watercoloring.  I have never used Docrafts Artiste watercolor pens before and
I LOVE THEM!!!

Bugaboo Shaker Valentine

Valentine's Day is sneaking up on us and I'm going to be prepared!  This card was inspired by the Scrapbook Blessings Club challenge on Facebook.  The theme is Shaker Cards, and the sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and I used "Girl Big Heart" because I immediately saw the possibility of a shaker card by cutting out the center of the heart she is holding.

After printing out the digital image I used my stitched rectangle die to cut out the front panel of my card.  Then I cut out the center of the heart with a craft knife, and made sure I didn't cut off her hands.  I colored the image with Inktense Watercolor pencils.  I colored the ruffle around the heart with my red Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pen.  I lightly chalked around the image with red (you almost can't see it in the picture).  I filled the shaker with metallic red hearts, and added a few of them to the front of the card as well.  The word LOVE was cut out with an old Cuttlebug die set I have, I cut it out of white and inked it with "Festive Berries" Distress Ink and attached to the outside of the heart.  A lot of info for such an easy card...hee hee hee :)

Holder For Cell Phone, Business Cards, Eye Glasses, Etc.

When I first discovered that people were making cell phone holders out of TOILET PAPER ROLLS it seemed a little cheesy to me.  I made one and liked the concept but still wasn't impressed....UNTIL...I realized it didn't have to be a paper craft and had a lot more potential than what I had been seeing.  I discovered a whole new way to look at it!!!

I made one for my husband for Christmas and covered it with Faux leather from Cricut, edged it with foil tape, and added some silver studs.  I was quite happy with the end results.  So I decided to make a video showing how to make these.

During the making of the video I ended up making an elegant one and discovered they are also GREAT for holding business cards, glasses, and more!!!  Watch my video and see for yourself.  CLICK HERE to watch.
