Sunsational Stamps - Christmas in July - Week 5

Hi everyone!
Today is the last post for Christmas in July.
I decided that today's card is going to be sweet & simple for all of you who don't always have time for something elaborate or don't have a lot of craft supplies.  I am using "May Your Christmas Be A Latte Fun" and you can find that in digital form at Scrapping With Lisa Designs, a division of Sunsational Stamps

For this card I used a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card....easily made by cutting an 8 1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock in half.  I cut a piece of patterned cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 inches and glued that on the front of the card.  I printed the image and colored it with Distress markers.  I used a Sizzix scalloped oval die to cut around the image.  I attached that to the front of the card with 3D foam squares to give it dimension.  And for an added touch I attatched a tiny button to the top of her hat with a glue dot.

I hope you have enjoyed these 5 weeks of Christmas in July

Scrapping4Fun Challenge #47 - Guest Designer

Hi Everyone!!!  I'm execited to share that I am a Guest Designer at Scrapping4Fun Challenges for their
Challenge #47 Music Notes / Instruments
Here is the card I made just for that.

When I was young my father made me take accordion lessons, but all I wanted to do was learn to play the piano.  I never did, but pianos still have a special place in my heart.

I printed out music on an antique looking paper for the background.  I used my Deep Red "Piano Solo" stamp and then only colored her dress and flowers.  I tore the edges and inked them with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  The music note was made with a Cricut die..  Then I found the flowers that matched and thought it was a nice touch.

I hope you like the card.

Sunsational Stamps - Christmas in July - Week 4

Well here we are, week 4 of Sunsational Stamps Christmas in July.
This week I have a special card to share with you.
I love making snowglobe cards, and since I recently learned how to make shaker cards I thought I would combine the two.  Below will be a link to my YouTube tutorial on making this card.

I wish I would have put more sequins in this card, but I will next time.  However I made another card and used chunky glitter and it looks great.

The image I used is from Sunsational Stamps and it is

Sunsational Stamps - Christmas in July - Week 3

Who doesn't like the GRINCH!!!
The Grinch is one of my favorite characters because he learns the meaning of Christmas and learns to give not take.
I love this stamp because the Grinch is bringing you a gift.  It is such a fun stamp and you can get this MERRY GRINCHMAS stamp at Sunsational Stamps

I can't take credit for this card....my daughter, C,  is my Guest Designer this week.  She used an embossing folder and went over the embossed snow flurries with Smooch.  She colored the Grinch with Distress Markers, and used Stardust Jelly Roll pens for the ribbon on the present and Merry Grinchmas...and topped it all off with a sparkly striped Christmas ribbon.

Sunsational Stamps - Christmas in July - Week 2

Continuing with the Christmas in July theme with
Here is this weeks card I made using image #138

I used a Darice Christmas embossing folder that I don't know the name of...sorry, the names are not on the folders.  I colored the decorations on the embossing folder with Sakura Stardust Jellyroll pens.  I colored the Sunsational Stamps image with Distress markers and Sakura Stardust Jellyroll pens.  I stamped and colored the image twice so I could cut out the presents and shoes to layer on top of the original image to give it dimension.  I also used a jingle bell brad for the bell on the hat.  I added a Christmas striped bow for the finishing touch.  That "Got Presents?" image is so fun and versitile....I can even see it being used as a tag on a Christmas present :)

Here is a side view so you can get a better look at the layering.

Happy 4th Of July from Sunsational Stamps DT

Here are my projects for today.
I used one of the new images just released today...
it is Americana Penguin 4

My daughter colored the image with Distress Markers and then I scanned it into my computer.  I added Celebrate Freedom and created a t-shirt transfer and ironed it on a t-shirt.  My daughter loves penquins and flags so this was the perfect one for her.

Using the same image that I scanned into my computer, I printed it out at 1"...the perfect size for bottle cap jewelry or a pendant like I used on this next project.  After making a pendant with it, I added it to a patriotic bracelet that my niece, Myra Smith, made.  It turned out awesome :)

There is so much you can do with the images from Sunsational Stamps....you can use them on cards and scrapbooks....or....you can can use your imagination to find many more uses for them.

Sunsational Stamps - Christmas in July - Week 1

We are celebrating Christmas in July with
I will be posting a new Christmas themed card or project every Friday during the month of July.  Here is my first...

I used Sunsational Stamps #225 Warm Christmas Hugs It is such a sweet image...one of many that you will find at Sunsational Stamps  I colored it with Distress markers and used chalk for a little added color behind the image.  I used a Cricut snowflake embossing folder and went over the snowflakes with Moonlight Smooch.  This is not a normal side fold card as you will see in the picture below.  I scored the front 1 1/4" from the left side and adhered it on the inside. so the card only opens from the score line.  I hope the picture below helps.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.
