Altered Jar

One of my newest and favorite addictions is altering jars.
It's easy to do and they make wonderful gifts.
Pink is my favorite color so I thought I would share this one.

I will probably do a YouTube video on this sometime in the near future so watch for it.  But for now, I'm entering this in the The Shabby Tea Room Design Team Call

Happy Father's Day

I can't believe I got so busy today that I forgot to post this!!!
This is the Father's Day card I made for my wonderful husband and father of our wonderful kids :)

I made this using the same CTMH stamp set, "Seaside Greetings", that I used to make his birthday card....just different stamps.  I used the same "Chipped Sapphire" Distress Ink that I used on the other card too.  Pretty much the same papers, and a different charm.  His birthday and Father's Day are just a couple days apart, and I wanted to use the same theme.  The cards may be similar, but they are also very different.  I really love that stamp set and I know my husband will love the cards.

Here is the link to CTMH so you can find the stamp set and edge distresser..... CTMH

Sunsational Stamps Project - Postcards

Patriotic Postcards
Lisa at Sunsational Stamps has been busy making some adorable patriotic stamps
for the 4th of July!!!  Here are a couple
of the images that I have used to make postcards for my grandkids.

I colored the images at normal size then scanned them into my computer and added the border and words in Publisher (any similar program will work).  I printed them out at 4" x 6", on a heavy weight cardstock, then turned them over and printed the back with the postcard side (for mailing).  I used my Jelly Roll glitter gel pens to add some sparkle to selected areas.  I actually have some blank watercolor cardstock postcards that I could have printed them on, but they aren't exactly white and I wanted a white background.  Our grandkids love getting postcards from grandma and grandpa and thought these would be fun for the 4th of July holiday :)

and see what else Lisa has been up to :)

Happy Birthday To My Amazing Husband!!!

Happy Birthday!!!
Today is my amazing husband's birthday
and I wanted to share the card I made him.

The stamp is from a CTMH stamp set called "Seaside Greetings" (D1609...I will post a link below).  I stamped it with "Chipped Sapphire" Distress Ink on light blue Recollections textured cardstock (I also used the beige for the back layer).  I distressed all the edges with a CTMH edge distresser and inked them with Distress Ink.  The buttons are Cricut Cuttlebug die cuts.  I added some twine and a brass anchor charm.  It is all on a craft paper card base.

Here is the link to CTMH so you can find the stamp set and edge distresser..... CTMH

My Sunsational Stamps Friday Project

HOPPY BIRTHDAY
I thought this cute little frog would be perfect for my grandson's 2nd birthday...after all, little boys are made from frogs and snails and puppy dog tails right?
This "Frog" stamp is from Sunsational Stamps
and you can find it right HERE

The cute frog was stamped on glossy cardstock and colored with Distress Markers.
The cupcake he is sitting on, as well as the balloon, were made using the Sizzix "Balloons & Cupcakes" die and stamp set.  The frosting is Limeade Doodlebug Chunky Sugar Coating glitter.
The banner was made using a die from Paper Sweeties Sweet Cuts - Fun Shapes .

Tea Party - Shaker Card

My very first shaker card!!!
I got this amazing teapot die from Paper Sweeties
and couldn't wait to use it!

I cut the teapost from this beautiful paper I have from Docraft, and then cut the circle out with a Sizzix scalloped circle die so that the "tea" would show through.  I can't give a full description here on how to make a shaker card, but I might do a YouTube video soon.  The "tea" in the pot is Doodlebug Chunky Sugar Coating glitter, "Bon Bon", and the "tea" coming out of the spout is matching Doodlebug sequins.  The cupcakes are from a CTMH stamp set my best friend gave me, and the teacups are from a stamp set that came with my Quick Cards Made Easy magazine.  All of the images are stamped on glossy cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  There is a paper doily behind it all to give it an elegant look.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite cards I have ever made....and I was lucky enough to have it featured in the October 2015 issue of Quick Cards made Easy :)

I am entering this card in a few challenges.....

Amazing Wedding Card with CTMH

I just had to share this amazing wedding card....
well bridal card....that I made with the help of the
CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.

This card is from the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge....but the front was decorated with the Cricut Cuttlebug Flower Bramble Cut & Emboss die, and the label was cut using Sizzix Majestic Label dies.  The labels on the inside were cut using Sizzix Scalloped Ovals.  The gown was "painted" with Perfect Pearls and embelished with adhesive pearls, and a ribbon tied around the waist.

This has become my "go to" card for brides.  There are many amazing cards on the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge, and they are all easy to make.  You can make them exactly how the cartridge shows, or you can improvise and make your own creations like I did.

My CTMH consultant is Sandy Taylor.  You can shop with her at www.sandytaylor.ctmh.com

Hi everyone!  This is my Saturday DT project for Sunsational Stamps.  I fell in love with this adorable image, #53 Mouse Under Flower, and had to use it.  It was perfect for creating a 3D image....something I really like.

Instead of explaining here how I did it, I made a YouTube video for you to watch HERE on my YouTube channel.

Sunsational Stamps - Daisy

The second I saw this adorable Sunsational stamp
"Daisy" girl I knew I had to make a card with her!

I knew immediately that I wanted to stamp the image twice, color one image, and then just color the daisies on the second one, cut them out and layer them on the image to give it a dimensional look.  I colored the daisies, leotard & tights with Twinkling H20 water colors.  I colored her skin with a Spectrum Noir marker.  Her hair, boots, and snail are colored with Distress markers.  And her eyes and lips are colored with Smooch.  LOL...I can't seem to color with just one thing.  And that flowered cardstock was just the perfect touch.

I recently learned how to make a twisted easel card and had to try it.  Click HERE to see my YouTube video that includes a short tutorial on how to make one....

Here are close ups so you can see the dimension...and also how cute this image is.
